Central Pennsylvania Energy Research
Together with Central Susquehanna Opportunities (CSO), Temple University researchers are investigating how communities are navigating rural energy provisions amid varying social and economic opportunities and burdens. This in-progress project involves interviews with Central PA residents, social service agencies, and fuel suppliers. The project is being led by Professor Veronica Jacome and Postdoc Salma Elmallah, with the help of graduate student Mina Schneck.
This research is supported by the Alfred P. Sloan Foundation and Pecan Street, Inc.
Through partnerships with UGI Utilities, Aqua Pennsylvania, and Pennsylvania American Water, PPL Electric Utilities CSO helps residents in our community become more energy efficient and save money on their utility bills.
